Turkey and the Art Show

Turkey exceeded all my expectations. I really enjoyed the people. I think that is one of the advantages of traveling alone: you interact more with local people. Turks are unusually kind, hospitable and honest. I was in the small town of Goreme in Cappadocia, walking at night after all the shops were closed, but the stand with postcards was out on the street open and unattended and no one was touching the cards. That trust struck me so much, that I don't think I would ever forget it. I was in Istanbul during Ramadan and was invited to join the holiday meal twice by complete strangers, just because I was curious and inquisitive about the local customs. One of highlights of my trip was a four day boat cruise on Mediterranean from Olympos to Fethiye on a small wooden gulet that had four large cabins with toilet and shower. The food was simple and very tasty. The sea was body temperature and the colour of turquoise and as clear as crystal. I went to Pamukkale and Ephesus, spent several days in Cusadasi, Fethiye, Olympos and Goreme and five days in Istanbul. And of course I was painting, I did ten watercolors. I took more than 2,000 pictures and have a lot of material for my future paintings.

I will have
a show of my new work right after the elections on Saturday
November 8th and Sunday November 9th from 1pm till 6pm at my studio at 9315 56 Ave S. Seattle
.

You also will be able to hear and buy a new CD " To Pan and Syrinx" music
for flute and piano by British label Divene Art with another of my Parisian
paintings on the cover (see http://www.divine-art.com).
